Royal Complaint

No comments:

Once upon a time,
On the land of enchantment,
Disney stopped producing handmade classics.

And so, computer animation rules.

I have a fling with Disney Princesses. I don't know they're all charming I like it a lot. From Snow White to Tiana, from the first to the ninth princess, I put so much love to them. But starting from the tenth, I began to stop giving shit.

Rapunzel, and the eleventh princess Merida, is not an output of Disney Classics. Although still, Rapunzel was originally made by Walt Disney Pictures -unlike Merida who was produced by Pixar Studio. But after all, she's computer animated and it just violated my value of Disney Princess, who should be drawn by hands!

So hey people of Walt Disney,
I'm trying to offer some ideas here.

Why don't you stop bothering the current Disney Princess, make it only up 'till Princess Tiana, and develop a new princess line-up that is, umm, computer-animated based? You can name it let's say, "Pixar Princess"? Or, "Computer Princess"...? Maybe? Yea whatever its name would be, just separate them!

And you know you have two other princesses joining soon, and again, they're computer-animated. And the worse part is, these women, Anna and Elsa from Frozen, are sisters! What the hell were you guys thinking about?? Two princesses from one same film, and siblings, all they gotta do is just crowding and confusing the line-up!

Okay now you guys have four computer princesses already, and they're not so phenomenal, and they appeared on movies which are named after one word that are not their names -Tangled, Brave, and Frozen? Got it now? and moreover, Merida and Elsa don't have a prince?? What more common things could they share? They meant to be together, so be it!

Left to right I got it from here, here and here.
So...

Once upon a time,
Princesses of 3D keeps appearing.
While classic ladies I always been admiring of,
Lived happily ever after

The Beast I Look Up To

No comments:

So I watched Monsters University.

Before that, I was completely sure that this prequel would be fantastic for me, because, you know, I've always liked to see the past and the future of fictional characters. And yeah I liked the movie. A lot.

Especially the young James P. Sullivan.

http://downloadwallpaperhd.com/monsters-university-sulley-hd-wallpaper/

Applaud to the director.
Or the creator of the character.
Okay, to whoever create the young Sulley.

It's just so alive. I mean, Sulley in the university is so a jock. His posture, his attitude, his charm, his fame, his power, his slacker side and how he relied on his physical plus to attract everybody, those are all, so alive.

Everyone else in the movie is also lifelike. Like Mike with his nerd, obsessive side. And the Oozma Kappa fraternity that's just a bunch of losers, along with the preps, the goths, the cheerios... Felt like attending a real university.

But Sulley, ummm...
There's this reason why I like him the most.

Well.

It's because he can get along with the nerds.

Seeing Mike ruled the team, dominate every single member of the frats, and Sulley -although on some level, he takes Mike for granted- obeys to him without any complaint, makes me adored. A jock like him, in real life, won't even bother noticing the presence of the nerds. It's something like, apparently, deep inside this fierce beast figure, Sulley's actually a good guy.

He brings me back to real life, where some certain people seriously cannot be judged from the outside. He also reminds me that in campus, I can actually befriend anyone else I expect.

It may sound too much, but if I were to go to one of American universities, and I happened to be one of those nerds, being bullied, ignored and stuff, I might eventually be energized just by watching the movie. It could simply be my confident booster.

For me, he's much more than just a cartoon character.
People might not see that but yaa, I look beyond visibility.
Maybe because now I'm a Sulli-fan

Finding The Best

No comments:

Been 10 years.

Saw the first poster in Singapore.
Everywhere in Singapore.

I fell in love pretty quick but,
Had no idea what movie that was.

Until it was released.
And I knew, I liked it.

I watched it at the movie.
Watched it again on pirated disc.
Can't get enough, I bought the original DVD.
Once aired, of course I didn't miss it on local TV.
Along the vacation, I looked for it at the hotel room TV.
I was on as it was replayed again and again by the cable TV.
And when the 3D version movie was out last year, God, I was there.

Every time. Every time I caught the movie,
I just can't stop watching it.

I know the story too well.
I even memorized some phrases
And dialogues out of head but,
I just can't stop watching it.

Cause, I don't know,
It always gave me some peaceful hours.
Enjoying the all blue screen, with colorful coral background...

Especially when it's watched inside a cold, dark room.
And it's gloomy outside. Rain falls. Damn.
Drag me to the ocean already.

Always feels like heaven.
There's no such better animation.

It's just too good to be missed.
I just can't stop watching it.

You did well, Pixar :)

Scrubs Hopes Up A Little Shine

No comments:

It's always been my habit when I watch back-to-back episodes of a TV series, then I started to like the show and couldn't seem to control this hunger of watching. It first happened long ago when I watched Cougar Town.

And it happened again after I watched Scrubs.

http://hdwpapers.com/tv_scrubs_wallpaper-wallpapers.html

I didn't realize that until I stared at the show for four episodes in a row, four days in a row. Until I began to idolize John Dorian. Oh, sorry, Zach Braff.

See in Scrubs, he plays J.D. quiet fun. That quirky personality, that day-dreaming habit he's got, and that endless narration voices in his head, I'm picturing myself when I see him. Well you know I'm not a doctor and I'm not publicly shown for my quirky side but aside of that, he's just so me!

Now... It's always been my other habit. When I see some familiar celebrity faces on TV, then pops in my head about where these celebrities had appeared before, that I end up browsing IMDb and there fulfilled all my wonders. I did that to Braff.

Before finally I realized, and narrate to myself...
I knew I had ever heard his voice somewhere before.
And yes I had. In Chicken Little. As Chicken Little himself. Itself. Himself!

Damn it's always been my other, other habit. To envy voice actors whose lives are fun enough even without have to voice cast. You know like Tom Kenny possesses Spongebob Squarepants. Like Tom Hanks owns Sheriff Woody. And Tom Kane wields Darwin the Chimp. I've always been into voice casting!

Now that the Z.B. guy plays the role I'm thinking as similar to me to,
And he fills a character from the industry I'm forever in love with,
And better yet, on top of all, he's a voice actor as well...

I'm officially a fan of Zach Braff.

Little's picture is from here, while Braff's from here

It's always been my habit.
To idolize people with odd reasons.
Well there's no harm in day dreaming, tho.
Because the end is still far from near

And Our Childhood Lived Happily Ever After

No comments:

Where should I start?
Well, I don't know.

So there was this guy.
A man of honor.
A noble guy.

He helped us making our own earlier stage of life, our childhood.
Taught us lessons, delivered morality through animated livelihood.
Brought us all up to the sky, down the sea, deep inside the wood.

Every kids' hero. The god.
His name should be carved in Olympus.
His portraits should be hung upon every castle's hall of fame.

King of the Wonderland.
Made our days like Neverland.

If someone ever ask whom I'd be happily working for,
That's going to be the time I mention his name.

Happy 111th Birthday

Goodbye, Fantasy Builder

No comments:

It's finally over, his suffering.
The whole world is mourning.
They keep appreciating what he had done.

A phenomenal piece of fruit.
As breathtaking as Adam's and Newton's.
Yes, it's Apple.

I praise what he invented, indeed.
But there's one thing that I'm massively sad of.
Not his iPad, not his iPhone, not his iMac.
But his Pixar.

I've been a loyal audience of Pixar since their first movie.
And from those movies, I learned a lot.

Thanks to you, I learned about friendship from Sheriff Woody.
Thanks to you, I learned about responsible from Flik.
Thanks to you, I learned about love from Sullivan.
Thanks to you, I learned about obedience from Nemo.
Thanks to you, I learned about power from Bob Parr.
Thanks to you, I learned about giving in from Lightning McQueen.

Thanks to you, I made my childhood fun.

May you rest in peace, Mr Incredible.
And now, I adore you as much as I adore Walt Disney.
Thanks, Steve Jobs

To Infinity And Beyond

Sebenernya telat. Banget malah. Gue sendiri bingung kenapa bisa begini. Nyesel? Hmm, gak terlalu sih. Tapi ya agak aneh aja udah hari gini gue malah baru nonton Toy Story 3

Wouwouwouwouwouwoh to the main topic lah! Toy Story 3! Sumpah siapa sangka ternyata meski udah berkepala 3, ceritanya tetep bagus agila cuy.

Aaa nyesel jir kenapa gak gue tonton pas liburan masuk kuliah kemaren. Setting sama suasana hatinya tuh mirip banget sama gue waktu itu jadi makna filmnya pasti ngena banget (effusyet mantep banget kan yak bahasa gue).

Dan abis nonton nih film, gue jadi pengen ngumpulin mainan-mainan lama gue trus gue simpen di tempat yang layak biar mereka gausah bilang
