First One

No comments:

It’s been two weeks since the last F1 Grand Prix.
If the tournament is still on, there should be another race today.

But it’s over.
My first season ever of F1,

Yea it’s over.

Pic's from here.

It never occurred to me that the sport would be so awesome. All year long. One cool event led to another, making me just sit perfectly still every week in front of my TV, waiting for amazing drama to come. And I should say, I’m glad I picked this season as my first.

You know how it all began.

Rio Haryanto. The first Indonesian to ever entered an F1 championship, which euphoria introduced me to the world of F1. All local eyes were on the 2016 Australian Grand Prix, Haryanto's, and OUR, first Grand Prix. Only different is, those eyes only lasted for two-three races after that, and kept vanishing from race to race, all because they didn’t see how Haryanto could survive. I, on the other hand, resumed watching—including that time when he stopped racing halfway the tournament, yea, I kept on continuing the series.

Despite the Indonesian racer, I enjoyed the sport as a whole though. You know how it all worked out—of course deep inside I’d pray for Rio’s win but, whatever happened, I’d still adore the tournament at a wider point of view. The top racers were unpredictable, making me smiling to whoever won the race, making me screaming to whoever succeeded in overtaking. From Monaco, Hungary, Japan, Brazil ‘til Abu Dhabi, every single races, which I used to think that, well, what’s so different with a race in Spain and the one in Silverstone? apparently served its own unique drama.

My first year got better when the championship entered the Singapore stage. You know how it all took place—I flew there, made my very first race-watching and abroad-concert debut, found international friends who were also fans of F1. It wasn’t just the experience that sent me to the moon—the race itself, of course, became my main dish. Seeing Rosberg won right in the front of my eyes, cheering just several yards away from my idol Ricciardo, catching each and every single cars I could only see from TV screen before. It was all so random, spontaneous, yet obviously the best decision I ever made.

The thrill went on to its next round, Malaysia Grand Prix. You know what happened—Daniel Ricciardo won the race. After two years of vacuum. He’s my favorite in F1 because, he’s good yet not the best. I don’t pick Mercedes boys as my idols because, they’re just too good. Seeing them winning all the time will kill my mood. So I picked him instead, and when he did it in Malaysia, I was beyond happy for this. Wearing-his-hat-which-I-bought-in-Singapore-all-day-long-the-next-day-after-the-race kind of happy. And knowing that he broke the curse of "No Victories at All Since 2014" right on my first year of F1, what else to request?

However, I wouldn’t say I’m glad I picked 2016 as my first year, if it wasn’t for Felipe Massa and Jenson Button. Because you know the reason—they’re two of F1’s legends. Retired just as I started my F1-watching career. I felt really lucky that I had to see them both on track, despite their poor last performances. And even though I had just known them for 21 races, I could see the quality in them. I could imagine how cool they were during their old days, and I felt the same heartbreak their original fans felt when they finished their last races.

And finally, Nico Rosberg completed the list. You know why—the current reigning-champion, the most constant racer with skills so entertaining, the hope for the next excitement in 2017, that came with his retirement announcement by the end of this season. I couldn’t say much about it. I swear I’m so blessed that I got the chance to see him blasting from race to race, until he finally earned his first ever championship, and decided to end his career as a victor. He’s a true champion.

I couldn’t ask for a better first season.
It seemed like they conspired to make it great for me.

But now it’s all gone.
And I felt a bit blue because,
Well, it’s my very first F1 binge-watch!

No more seeing the legendary rivals in Mercedes fighting for the best on the front row, no more seeing Rosberg pissing Hamilton, no more seeing Massa and Button struggling, the grid will be a whole lot changed as the drivers are distributed here and there cross-teams, the fights will be much much different. I’m sure.

Ah well, that’s the beauty of sport. People move on. So of course my 22 first racers in 11 first teams wouldn’t be on that exact order next year. But whatever happens, those set of grid I had always seen in 2016, those combinations of initials and colors that had always been associated accordingly in 2016, will always be in me.

Upper pics are from herehere and here respectively.
Lower pic belongs to F1 Twitter account.

Well it’s my First One, yes.
There will be more to come.
But I’ve a feeling that this one,
Will forever be the most fucking

Fantastic One

Butterfly

No comments:

Last night I heard something terrible.
A pretty bad news for us 90s survivors.

The singer of "Butterfly", the opening theme of Digimon anime, that nostalgic song that still gives me goosebumps today, the spirited upbeat song of my childhood—had passed away due to his cancer.

Kouji Wada
(1974 - 2016)

Come to think of it, I didn't really listen to the original song as a child. We Indonesian kids were exposed more to the translated version of the theme, which was great, as it showed how we appreciated his song that we didn't change the other part of it -unlike Americans who created a whole new stupid opening theme and I bet even the fans of Digimon in America have no idea of who Kouji Wada was. As I grew up I knew I had an extended love for Digimon. So I began to get myself exposed to the original version of the song, and I fell in love with it.

I knew him only from Digimon Adventure -the very first serial- and the latest Digimon Tri. What I didn't know is that he was apparently also the man behind each and every single latter series of Digimon franchise. I took him for granted.

And now that he's gone, I felt pretty crushed.

Well then what can I say now,
But to wish him a very peaceful rest.

Pic belongs to him. Or her, I'm not sure.

So.

Quoting my tweet,
I'd like to say it again.

Rest in peace Mr Kouji Wada,
You'll always be the prettiest butterfly

The End, in the Beginning

1 comment:

So it's 2016.

I'm all excited about everything that will happen to me. The personal projects, the new team, the new job, I feel like I'm ready to settle down.

But there's one thing that kinda struck me in the beginning of this year.

Yeah.

Damn American Idol.

When the first season aired, I was still in pre-elementary school. My first episode ever was when I was about to leave my friend's house after a stupid slumber party, and when I was crossing the living room I saw her family watching the show. Well I'm not a big fan of the show like, never missed any episodes from the very beginning. But still I was a part of it.

It's really nice to see a star shining right before my very eyes. Sometimes it makes me positive to reach my goals too. And sometimes makes me a little out of reality too by dreaming of doing an American Idol audition - yet I'm not even American, deciding which song to do - yet I'm not even a singer, and wondering how many friends I will make during the Hollywood week. Freak huh?

It's also nice when I was investing too much emotions to the show. Shed a tear when somebody made it to the next round, felt embarrassed over failed and weird auditions, fell in love with certain contestant and when they got eliminated I would cry as if they were my family or something. Damn, I will miss this weird thing.

And Farewell Season, huh?

I never thought the show would come to an end. It's always been taken for granted like, English Premier League. Or The Simpsons. It's endless, and will start over again not long after the finale. It's been on and on, years by years, till I got to the point where, okay I think I don't need to watch this year's American Idol, I can see it next season. That's why after Philips Phillips, I stopped watching.

But well, there you go.
The last season ever is here,
With one idol left to uncover.

The premise made me firm not to miss even one episode. Because, well, everything's gonna be the last. The last audition. The last Hollywood show. The last main show. And oh, the last audition, it ended last week.

It crushed me a little when Harry asked Jen how she felt finishing the last American Idol audition ever. But nothing broke me worse than when the last concestant of the audition got the last golden ticket, and everybody was like, "Here it is, the last golden ticket ever." Oh... Fuck man...

It's crazy to notice the idea that no one will say "I'm gonna try next year" anymore in this season. And the judges can't make the rejections any easier with comforting promises like "Please come again next year."

Well, what can I say.

It's a showbiz and things like this is expected. Like Oprah Winfrey Show, and of course, FRIENDS. Who would want those two to end? Nobody. But they have to.

But American Idol, I think it's gonna be weird without them. The pioneer of all voting-based talent show. The round and round singing competition. The phenomenon.

And you know what the worst part could be?

That someday, someday really soon.
When I'll be traveling to California,
And oh believe me, someday I will
It will no longer fun for me to yell

"I'm going to Hollywood!"

Story of the Ordinary, Gone Overwhelming

No comments:

This is a tale of a big family with their clothing business empire.

Meet Victor. A youngest child of three. He and his two older sisters, Lorraine and Renee, works for a clothing company their parents had given legacy to, from their grand parents. Katrina, the mom with all her strict rules, and Criss, the dad that loves creativity and creativity only, are the ones behind the company's main desk. All five of them had been living a normal life as the company runners, and everything would seem to be okay.

Until one day, Lorraine got a job abroad. And Renee decided to start her own design business. It struck Victor in his heart, knowing that he'd be all alone dealing with their company. The girls left, and Victor got overran with the leftovers.

But then God heard his prayers. A scholarship application he sent long ago, accepted him in a year-long writing program. Victor was more than ready to leave, but the whole family wasn't. Everybody trembled in shock that the company's sole successor was about to leave.

It was hard at first for Uncle Boyd, Mom's step brother, who was personally (and of course, professionally) so close to Victor. Also for Randall, Uncle Boyd's eldest son. But the younger siblings Stanley and Jaclyn made it easy for them to give approval.

Things got a little bit easier as Mom's step sister Nina, encouraged Victor to leave. She had always been Victor's favorite aunty and he knew she would support him. Her husband Razaq made it easy too, as his witty-wicked personality distracted Victor from all his doubts. But the best support came from his closest cousin Franchesca. His partner in crime, his other half in the family.

Soon after that, supports kept coming. From his other cousins: Simon the international minded guy, twins Chandler and Chantall, brothers Rickard and Patricia (yes, Patricia is a name of a boy here). Also from his other uncles and aunties: Frida, Gina, Yvette, Wagner, Undine, Yvonne, Horrace, Maria, Amish, Barry, Poppy, Ilda, Igor, Damian, Kiki, and everybody else, yes, they got Victor's back.

Everything had been really smooth, until suddenly, two weeks before Victor's departure, Mom left to check on the girls. And Dad knew he'd be doing everything alone, running the company alone, managing all the necessities alone, if Victor really meant to leave.

So the days of new great offers and promises started. Dad kept coming over and over again to Victor, promising him with this and that, higher positions and money beyond compare -- all made Victor turned unsure with his decisions.

But passion won.
Victor eventually left.

With the sisters, during their alay days.
With the whole family, before Mom left.
Victor's favorite cousin, Franchesca.
With Aunties Nina, Maria, Frida, Yvette, and Gina, Franchesca, Chandler, and Victor's new friend Kirby.
This was taken on Victor's last day before he left the company.

Today,

Is three days before Victor's departure to his dream. He's now sitting in front of his laptop, writing, stop writing, and thinking about many things. About his comfort zone in the family's company. About whether he's making the right decision or not. And about how he's grown from an ordinary little kid, to be a man overwhelmed with values, after all the lessons he learned from the company.

But he knew he's grown well, yet still got to grow.
And so, gone is he to battle

I'm Sorry, Captain

No comments:

It took exactly three nights to get over it.
Not completely moved on, but at least it feels easier now.

Vicky Amin presents

I will never stop saying this before I start talking about Liverpool: I’m not the biggest fan. It’s not like I always watch every single game, keep up to every single updates. No. But at least I’m not a fake one. I know the players, I know the theme song, but most importantly I didn’t turn my back when the squad was down on their knees. And I’m not that kind of fan when people ask who my favorite player in Liverpool is, and I expectedly answer “Steven Gerrard.”

Well.

Steven Gerrard is, and will always be—in default, the favorite player of any Liverpudlian all over the globe. I’ve known him long ago, when I was still loving Milan, and he played for Liverpool already. Then I turned to support for The Reds in 2010. Ups and downs, with swifts in managers and legends started departing, leaving Gerrard the only classic Liverpool key left behind. But still no matter what happened, he got a good grip of the whole team, and served the most entertaining performances for the supporters.

Honestly, after Carragher left and Gerrard became the last player of Liverpool squad playing in Istanbul 2005, I’ve been having this instinct that our captain will be leaving in no time. Could be because he’s retiring, or because he’s just tired of Liverpool, or he gets amazing offers from other clubs—could literally be anything, I don’t know what, but the thing is, he’ll eventually leave.

I’m actually okay with that. With him leaving. He’s been beyond loyal to Liverpool and his devotion to the club is not questioned. It's hard, but totally tolerable. What hurt me bad was, his last two games.

Gerrard’s final match at Anfield two weeks ago was considered as the closure of his career with Liverpool. Of course, it’s a home game. The celebration was touching, the drama was epic, what went wrong was only the fact that Liverpool lost. But I was fine with that. At least he’s got his supporters for that, so either win or lose, he’d leave Anfield with endless salute. Plus, he’s still got his true one last game a week after so... There was still a chance to close his Liverpool story with nice ending.

But then, you know what happened.
Liverpool lost, big time—it’s like, raped.

After the game ended, I was just there, sitting in front of my laptop throughout a slowly-creeping, endless and quiet 15 minutes, doing nothing. Nothing but to think how is it like to be Gerrard right now.

Well I cried, honestly and I don't think I have to hide it. I cried, dramatically. When all 6 goals flashed behind Mignolet's back, when Charlie Adam celebrated over his goal to his ex-team, when Gerrard scored his last goal in Premier League ever. But of course my worse tear fell when the final whistle blew. When Gerrard clapped to honor his surroundings like a true legend, while everybody else was mocking him and his horrible last day in Liverpool.

I cried.
How could such thing happened to a legend that big?

If I were one of Liverpool players. I couldn't apologize myself for letting my captain down. But now what am I? Just a fan who sometimes watch the game, sometimes not, sometimes I feel like I’m the one who care most about the team, sometimes I don’t even give a fuck…

So all I can do is just to write this pity note.

Stating how sorry I am for the tragedy, and wholeheartedly wishing you, my beloved Captain Steven Gerrard, to have a better career ahead in the United States.

I regret that I don’t have a jersey with your name on it.
I regret I didn’t watch you when you were in Indonesia.
Speaking for all the fan who feels the same,

I’m sorry, Captain.

Arrivederci, Lads!

No comments:

More teams gone.
It's time to say more goodbyes.

Italy & England
Group D

Pic's from here.

Aside the fact that Italy beat England, I was actually into the team. I put so much hopes towards them. Beating Costa Rica so England could still have a mini chance to get into the second round, but they didn't manage to do that. Beating Uruguay so England's grudge would be paid off, still they didn't manage to do that. They played tremendously good, but not good enough for a World Cup. And after last night, after the referee's unfair decisions, after the red card for Claudio Marchisio, after Suarez's biting scene, they got my respect. And Uruguay made themselves a bitch I'd really love to slap.

While England...

You know England was the team of my choice. They didn't play amazing games, no, but they seemed much stronger than usual. I could sense that from their very first game, against Italy. And both of their loses were actually not big a deal. I mean, they were losing only one goal from each team they were lost to. Still, I know, it didn't show how England is actually qualified for further stages.

But I just can't stop thinking about Steven Gerrard. This World Cup could be his last one. I was kinda hoping England could go at least to semi-final, makes their Captain feel like brand new. Fired up. Ecstatic. Well that's okay. Liverpool's on the Champions League next season. I'll get to see him crushing like his young days on that tournament. Hopefully.

See you later, Captain Gerrard. Pic's from here.

After all, nice games. Both of you.
You've done enough for the revenge, Italy.
And I'm sorry our intercourse stopped here, England.

I'll see you guys in four years from now.
With more of my adoration and stuff.

Farewell, Amico!

Despedida, Matey!

No comments:

So the World Cup is finishing its group stage.

We knew several teams were kicked out early. But last night was like the official-est time for those losing teams to say goodbye to Brazil.

To be honest, I never felt this much entertained only by watching the very first round of the cup. There were too many un-favorited squads, turned out to be crazy good. On the other hand there were also top teams who umm, ended up unsatisfying.

As for those teams I cherished, I'm going to craft posts as my sign of dedication and salutation to your entertaining games. Also being my farewell to you, and your other group-mate.

This one, is for

Australia & Spain
Group B

Last (night's) game. Pic's from here.

Australia was the one I had my hats off. They've been playing good, actually. Especially against the Dutch. Their quick revenge goal and their first ever leading moment when they were one goal ahead from Netherlands, it showed much about their true ability. It's just, the last two goals made by Persie and the other guy -I forgot, caused too much pain in their asses.

While Spain, yaaaaa, I never planned to go for them since the beginning anyway. I knew they'd make mistakes. The same squad with World Cup 2010, the over-amount of stars, it was just... Too much. Get a grip, ex-champ, you held too much pride and arrogance. Time to start over.

Nice games. Both of you.
Really entertaining, Australia.
And enough being on top, Spain.

I'll see you guys in four years from now
With more of my smart-ass critics and stuff.

G'day, Amigo!

Took Me All The Way

No comments:

It ended yesterday.

You do know what I'm talking about.
The best time of my entire life so far.
A moment I never expected to come.

October.

How couldn't it be not the best?

First of all, dad was having his 50th birthday. A special number not just for him, but to every single member of this little family of ours. It was just a day we all together realized that, in no time, dad -and mom- will start settling down, and there'll come our time, the kids, to take control the life business. Crazy.

Also, I finally finished the pain-in-the-ass Mirai Ocha task -although on some level, it was all majorly done by my teammates because I left them...

And for the whole month, my mentor made it smooth for my final assignment -the Whiskas stuff. It's now down to the last complicated chapter, and one complementary part to finish. Should I say I can't wait for the trial? No? Of course not, I'll regret saying it...

But the best part, as you know... Is USA.
Want me to tell about that all over again?
Haha don't worry, I know you're tired.
It won't feel good for me anyway.

Yes, because I still haven't completely moved on.
And I'm tired of keep thinking about it, honestly.
But umm, can I say just, this one last thing?

Okay.
"I'll be back there, somehow.
But for this trip, I'm done.
So memories,

Safe flight!"

To Batten, Barton, Durstine, Osborn, and Their People

No comments:

I knew BBDO for more than a year. I like the agency. It's big, it's worldwide, it's the most awarded one internationally and I'm sure, it's so prestigious to work for it.

Then I got to know it much deeper last year, when I was an intern at BCA. Met some cool people, learned how they worked, explored stories that subconsciously convincing me to try my luck there, met some cool people--oh. Have I mentioned that? Well because I did, meet some cool people.

Mas Haris
was the Creative Director. Came to BCA, presenting creative proposals. I adored him.

Mas Didit
was the Executive Creative Director. Never seen him working as an ECD but he was my lecturer at the campus tho, so, I happened to know how agency works. I adored him.

Mas Awal
was the Copywriter. The first real, agency-worked-for copywriter I ever shook hand with. I never knew how he worked but, since I never met anyone else with title "Senior Copywriter" written on his name card, I adored him already.

The three of them.

They were the reason why I shouted like a scoring dad when the HRD called me, telling that I was accepted as the copywriter intern. I finally got to see them. And some other cool people I've been stalking for since the previous year, and I've been dying to work with.

So June 17th I came to the office, but...
It was only Mas Haris who remained staying -and he's leaving soon.
I knew that Mas Didit had long gone even before I gave a fvck about the internship thingy.

But knowing that Mas Awal,
and those cool people I thought I'd be seeing in real life,
Had all resigned from the agency without me knowing because I stopped stalking...

Well I can't judge. I barely knew the rest of those people. I didn't even know well those people who left, so why should I feel down already? There must be reasons why BBDO turned to be my way. There must be reasons why I wasn't as happy as when I was accepted in BBDO, once Ogilvy called me for schedule-matching interview.

And it turned out to be real.

I got everything what I need in here. Experience, insights about agency, the professional world, the office intrigues, facts and gossips about THE other agencies -and it made me relieved that I wasn't called again, new friends, and the most important thing, of course, the experience of working as a true copywriter.

Thank you, BBDO.
With Mbak Oni, the senior copywriter.

Anyway.
Yes, this post is not yet ended.

On my second day of working there, I got an ID card of my own, proudly posted it in all social media I have, and stating something like "Ah, feels like hired. I hope this'll be permanent."

So thank God that wish didn't come true.
Thank God no one convinced me to stay and help a little longer.

Because now I realize,
I'm not ready yet

It's Morphin' Time!

I'm done being excited about writing.
Everyone knows that I'm interested a lot in writing.
Now it's time for me to introduce something else, besides writing.

And that else, is childhood.

I don't know what to say about childhood.
I love childhood, I adore so much about my childhood.
I'd do anything to turn back in time, enjoy every piece of my childhood.

Or at least, collect what's left behind from my childhood.

But I have no idea where to find them.
What I still keep from my childhood, is my memory.
And now, this blog will help me rebuild those long lost moments.

So...

Thanks, rifkyramadhan.blogspot.com.
I gained enough reputation using my own name.

Ode to The Man

No comments:

Let's just say, I'm a huge fan of Manchester United. Well that's nonsense. Okay let's say I'm a moderate fan of Manchester United.

There's this one guy as far and as long as I ever known the club, he's so attached to it. Yea because since the day I was born, since the day I decided to be a loyal supporter of MU, the club had been managed by

The architect. The mastermind. You don't talk about performances. He had done the best for MU. Trophies, cups, leagues, victories, you name it. And don't even start talking about team selection. He hatched dozens of football stars.

From the first time I heard name Manchester United,
The only one, single name I ever heard to handle the club, was his.
Picturing the time he'd be forced to stop coaching the club, can't say how down I'll be.

But it's time to face the truth.

He's retired.
And I'm a fan of LFC.
So who am I to feel sad?

Well... I'm a human.
With a firm heart,
And emotions.

And because I'm quiet intolerant with goodbyes.
Because I got my eyes watered when it comes to farewell.
Because I couldn't help but feeling lost, although it's my fave team's rival.

Can't imagine how broken you guys are feeling now.
But I know he gave you prides you've always ever asked.
No more promises, no more owes, he's given the best legacy for all.

So long, Sir!

After All, You'll Always Be My Second Home

No comments:

Semester genap terakhir sebelum gue lulus. Semester tua.

Jadilah gue cuma kuliah 7 mata kuliah, 3 hari. 3 hari...

"Sudah saatnya gue keluar dari kosan."

Kuliah cuma 3 hari, 4 hari sisanya libur. Gamungkin gue gak pulang ke Gading. Ya...

Tapi gak semudah itusih keluar.

I don't know why, I feel like I grew a lot more mature and learned a lot more lesson along my stay at that freakin room. I tasted a piece of real life and managed to understand people more. But on top of all, I explored so much more about myself, after that room gave me all those lectures.

Lectures of warmth, joy, laughter, tear, shelter, survival, intrigue, protection.

Ahh, selamat tinggal, kamar laknat ku.

It was so hard to say goodbye to you yesterday, I admit it.

So my boarding house...

The place where I grew at,
The place where I screw with,

Thank you :)

My Beat, My Rhythm of The Street

2 comments:

"The unsung hero."

Kayak motor gue.

Honda Beat oranye taun 2009. Dibeliin bokap pas gue naik kelas 3, mengingat gue bakal sibuk bolak balik sekolah - tempat les - rumah, menjelang UAN dan kawan-kawannya. Bukan cuma jadi temen seperjuangan buat gue, tapi juga buat beberapa temen gue. Bahkan saking sayangnya mereka, motor gue ini dikasih nama Bumblebeat :')

Kita udah sedeket itu. Gue sama Bumblebeat. Doi udah tau lah rahasia rahasia gue. Gimana sering teledor nya gue di jalan. Gimana gak aware nya gue sama pengendara sekitar.

Sampe akhirnya gue masuk masa kuliah.

Kita udah gak seintim itu. Paling banter jalan bareng cuma pas weekend. Sisanya dimonopoli sama adek gue. Ke sekolah, ke rumah temennya, kemana, kemana. Bahkan kadang sebelum gue pake, gue harus nanya dulu itu motor mau dipake apa nggak. Padahal motor motor gue.

So yea, our last days finally came.

Bumblebeat pun masuk forum jual beli online. Awalnya gue masih santai-santai aja. Tapi gatau kenapa, mungkin Tuhan berencana lain, baru beberapa hari dipasang online motor gue langsung banyak yang lirik.

Sampe akhirnya minggu lalu rumah gue didatengin calon pembeli pertama.

Patah hati. Banget. Udah dari kapan tau gue ngerencanain kalo itu motor mau dijual, sehari sebelumnya gue bakal keliling dulu sama temen-temen gue yang kenal baik sama doi. Tapi ternyata jual motor gak se-high-involving jual mobil. Jadilah gue pun... Telat.

Ya sudahlah. Apa mau dikata.

My laziness in taking pictures, had me got these three as the only pictures of Bumblebeat :'

That motorbike, that mighty steed.
Thanks for every trip we've been through.
I'll see you again down the road, with the new rider
But with the same beat you've always got :)

Note Eight: Farewell

No comments:
Day Goodbye

A friend of mine once told me, several days before our summer off ended, that when we had something to do by the time we were off studying, going back to campus would be a suck thing to do.

And that's just so right.

I've done my internship period weeks ago. Said goodbye and thanked everybody there, from the Public Relation Aspect to Consumer Communication Aspect to the Media Communication Aspect to the agencies I was interfered with. It was so hard, yet exciting because finally I would feel the true holiday.

Until today, I went back there to drop the report I was required to do. And they still welcomed me like I was still working there. So warm, so fun, so supportive.

Ah, goodbyes. I never liked farewell. Especially to a place where I once said it was the best choice I've ever picked. Saying goodbye, for me, is a total awkward. And writing it is a bunch of wasting time.

So yeah, I'm done with this post and stuff.
I'm done referring myself as an apprentice.
I'm done being treated as an underdog.

But I'm not done keeping the memories.

From left to right, Bu Niken, Pak Tim, Bu Litani, Kak Sonya the secretary, you do know me, and Pak Matthew

Now it's time to face the truth.
Say hell-o again to campus life

P.S. : Too bad Bu Norisa wasn't there on the photograph... She's like the boss of the bosses of mine, and it feels like awkwardly impolite without her. Sorry, ma'am ._.

Note Three: Transition

Day Fifteen

Today was my last day in Public Relation Aspect. Well umm, I asked my boss to switch me to the Marketing Communication Subdivision for a better learning of mine. But you know, right when you have a chance to obtain something, sometimes you need to let go of something else.

I'm in love with the place I was put. Those people, uh, they're just too amusing to be skipped. It was just three weeks but I feel like accepted. They said that I was too fast, stopped working there already. Some of them even suggested me to extend my internship period there haha.

Anyway if you notice, along these three weeks, I kept talking about the people. See that's why I requested to be moved. I made friends already, now it's time for me to sharpen my knowledge about marketing or better yet, advertising.

I know, this wasn't the end. I'll still be in touch with them. We even made plans already to catch some movies, go to karaoke studio, and break fast together. So this replacement, I hope it would be a precise decision.

Transition will always, always be difficult. For me.
Especially when I have gotten used to the current situation.

But you know

Right when you have a chance to obtain something,
Sometimes you need to let go of something else.
I hope this'll be getting way better

Farewell Your Majesty

No comments:

I'm not the biggest fan of this club.
I don't even know that much about it.
About the history, lineups, strategies...

Also about the coach.
That Kenneth Dalglish coach.

You may considered to be failed.
You may not be succeeded giving achievements.

But still, thank you.
Thanks for igniting some hope.
Thanks for convincing me that I picked the right club to cheer upon.

Thanks, King Kenny

P.S. : I read from somewhere, something saying that Pep Guardiola will be the one replacing the manager spot on Liverpool. That will be cool I guess, and I'm kinda excited.

Beach Youth Madness

Oh how I miss you my blog!
I'm just landed from Ancol
What for?

Jalan-jalan ala sepuluh dua!

Terus doi sembunyiin tuh sepeda bareng Viera, sementara rantenya dibuang entah kemana. Haha geli deh ngingetnya.

Rasanya agak gak mungkin ya liburan terjadi tanpa adanya hal bodoh. Untuk kali ini, Ocit lah jawabannya. Hmm, gak kali ini doang sih. Kehadiran Ocit mah selalu bodoh.

Oke. Ets tunggu dulu, mana mungkin sih kita ngebiarin dia datang tanpa syarat? Haha canda. Tapi beneran. Hari pertama dia dateng bawa popmie, hari kedua dia dateng bawa nasi goreng. Fufufu emang paling setia deh doi.

Haaaaa seru kan ya liburan dadakan begini? Tapi pulangnya pas sampe di (mantan) sekolah lagi, gue mikir kalo setelah ini kita semua bakal misah.

Depok - Bandung - Jogja

Huff, sudahlah. Kehidupan harus diteruskan, kawan. Selamat berjuang ya buat Thea, Bacul, Upe, Ayip!

Vacation with 10th grader: Done

--favorite moment:
Gue sama Thea naik sepeda tandem pagi-pagi.

Last Meeting

Agenda hari ini adalah ngambil SKHUN. Tapi buat kelas gue, ada acara tambahan yaitu ngasih surprise buat wali kelas kita, Pak Samsul. Patungan kue, trus si Fira bikin gambar Pak Samsul. Abis itu siap-siap di depan ruang guru, pas bapaknya keluar kita nyanyiin deh hahaha.

What a cool bunch of comrades I got

Beneran deh, gue belom siap ninggalin SMA
