Cherry Blossom From The Green

No comments:

This time, I’m pretty sure that I’m officially a fan of Asia’s Next Top Model. For the previous two cycles, I started watching weeks after the season’s premiere, got held back and kept watching only to know who the winner was. No plan at all, it was spontaneous and impulsive.

However for this year’s cycle, got to be honest, I literally waited for it. The premiere date was on my calendar, and the girls were exposed to me from the very first second of their appearance. And as always, the one that I noticed first when the lineup was revealed was, yes, the girl from Japan.

Her name is Barbara Katsuki

Marie and Sofia's successor. With surprisingly the exact same rank: third runner up –this starts to be very suspicious.

Like the first two girls, Barbara with her green Brazilian and pink Japanese descent ‘outfit’ outshined everyone. Well there was this American-Hong Kong girl and this French-Thai girl, but hey, it’s Japan what sipped within Barbara and nothing can beat that. And like the first two girls, again, she’s super polite. Super down to earth, speaking with this super cute minimalist English-Japanese accent… Argh!

Unique as always, polite as always, okay that’s typical. Only this time, what stood out more about the Japan representation in AsNTM, was actually the physical appearance. Out of three Japanese contestants, Barbara’s face won my heart. And her moderate height, taller than Marie yet shorter than Sofia, it’s just perfect. Plus that body of hers—oh don’t get me start with that.

Do I sound like I’m making a big deal out of her too much? Well, it’s because I actually adore her. And maybe subconsciously because I also adore Japan. In which I have plan for it, but later on, not now.

What I can tell now is,
Following the theme that I set for myself lately,
I’ll try to explore Indonesia more than anything else at the moment.

Therefore on top of Barbara, there are these two I know everybody will got my back for adoring them. Because yes, they’re from Indonesia.

Gani and Tahlia

Gani. She’s been so consistent from the very first episode and oh I’m pretty sure she’ll win the competition. Too much adoration shown by the panel, too much praises thrown from the guest judges, she’ll definitely kick those Singaporean and –especially– Filipina asses.

And Tahlia. Our Scarlett Johansson. She’s so special I don’t even know how to describe it. It was such a nerve-wrecking moment watching her on the show, seeing her up and down, until finally she was on the bottom two with Gani. Worst episode ever, seriously. And that was the point where I realized that the show is Filipino-centered, with two Filipinas holding crucial roles on the panel, and that Amanda girl always being saved.

But I don’t care.

Despite the unfair tendency within the competition, Gani and Tahlia showed that Indonesians can climb up the wall without any nationality bailout. That the fairest flower from the green land called Indonesia, can also blossom internationally.

Oh, Indonesia.
Never been this much in love with you

Shalom, Ishah Metuka

No comments:

Let's get all freaky.

Remember the time I confessed about having a crush towards one female protagonist of one crime investigation TV series I like a lot, and really hated her successor so much? Yes, I'm talking about Kate and Ziva here.

For you who didn't watch NCIS, Special Agent Caitlin Todd was the initial female heroine of the show. She could probably end up fornicating Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo, one of the male protagonists, if her portrayer Sasha Alexander didn't decide to leave NCIS. Kate then got killed in season 2 finale, replaced by Liaison Officer Ziva David of Israel's Mossad.

At first, I hated Ziva. A lot. She appeared in a very wrong situation, with a very wrong attitude. To make things worse, it was Ziva's half brother who killed Kate. How could I not hate her? :) I also knew, by the first time I watched NCIS, that Ziva remained on the show in way longer terms than Kate did. I just, didn't want my favorite agent be less popular than the newbie.

But as time went by, as I was exposed more and more to Ziva David and her overall background plus personality, as you know my weakness, I began to like her. A lot. But not even close to how I adore Kate. But still. I eventually gave in, and found her really interesting.

http://www.fanpop.com/clubs/ziva-david/images/25967177/title/ziva-david-wallpaper-wallpaper

It's her growing attitude. From an enemy-material bitch kind of character, to a loyal supportive committed agent. Also her low understanding in American culture. Her natural wild-survival appearance. Her gesture, her way of talking, basically, everything!

And the fact that she's an Israeli added her value for me. I have an Israeli friend and Hebrew somehow began to be so interesting to be learned. Of course Ziva taught me many stuff about how to suddenly surprise my friend. I can out of nowhere greet him in Israeli, use Israeli phrases in the middle of our discussion, many things Ziva said and did along the series, I could just imitate those all and apply it to my friend!

Although apparently, Cote de Pablo who played Ziva, she is Chilean and can't at all speak Hebrew. Well... Does that make me love her less? On the contrary, since I recently am learning Spanish, I LOVE BOTH ZIVA AND COTE!

Well, well, well... As usual, I got carried away.
I was all about Kate, and now, I'm all about Ziva.
Which leads me now to guess what you are thinking.
I'm thinking that you're thinking of what I'm thinking about

Which one is better, right?

Well, to be honest, I can't pick.

I've been too attached to Kate so no matter how realistic things go, I'd always pick her. But then Ziva's character was just so smooth, she was a bad ass who brought more colors, tensions, as well as stories to the overall NCIS series. But please keep in mind that Ziva appeared after NCIS survived its vulnerable yet crucial first-two-seasons. Without Kate's constant appearance, it's not impossible that NCIS might had been cancelled already by FOX long ago.

But as far as I believe, both Kate and Ziva made the team looked so much vibrant. Despite the fact that Kate was a former President's bodyguard, and Ziva was even wilder an assassin, the two girls made the show, sweet.

Caitlin Todd's pic's from here, Ziva David's from here.

So, Kate or Ziva?

I don't know. Well, at some point, maybe I actually know.
But I prefer to act like I don't know

Crushing Eternity

No comments:

This is something I actually been longing to write but, I kept pending it. But just today, after I watched NCIS and Rizzoli & Isles back to back, I now have that mood to write.

You know what the bottom line is,

Sasha Alexander.

http://dailyinspires.com/sasha-alexander-wallpapers/

I'm a fan of hers. Also her alter egos.
I mean, her characters on both NCIS and Rizzoli & Isles.

It started several months ago when I began to be exposed by NCIS. Mom's fave TV show. She watched it several times when I happened to be around and, poof! The next thing I knew I was in love already with Kate Todd.

And I believe I once told you the story of how I'm loving crime slash cops slash detective TV serials. Including Law & Order, The Mentalist, Cold Case, and yes, Rizzoli & Isles. At first I didn't notice that Sasha was in there. But then Kate died on NCIS, it really broke my heart made me browsed Wikipedia in hoping to find her in other serials and there God showed me the way. I found her, and started to realize her, as Maura Isles.

Speaking about her death in NCIS, oh man, I was literally upset. Knowing that I'd stop seeing young Sasha and will be much more exposed to the mid-aged one -which, still, so beautiful and undeniable. And although she's one of the main star in Rizzoli & Isles, she appears slightly less times than the true main actress Angie Harmon -why do all Harmons mess in her way??

Well but that's okay. Because apparently, FOX aired the episodes of the first and the second season way much more often than the rest of the seasons. I never liked Ziva anyway, because her brother killed my star :(

All from Google, I forgot which site

And no matter how less popular she will be, I mean, if *knock on the wood* Maura dies in Rizzoli & Isles, I'd still love Sasha. Because apparently, this pity crush had appeared even long before NCIS.

Back to when I browsed her Wikipedia, I discovered that Sasha appeared in FRIENDS's episode "The One with Joey's Interview". Subconsciously, I had a fling with her starting from back then, but since her appearance was minor, I didn't pay much attention and efforts.

But at least now I believe.
That this adoration, is real

Black Dahlia From The Red

No comments:

I know I been saying this my whole life, but I'm gonna say it again. I'm a reality show junkie. Once I start seeing one episode of anything, I mean it like, ANYTHING, I'll be there for the rest of the episodes until I figure out who the winner is, on the season finale.

So Asia's Next Top Model was last year. The contestants were all gorgeous that when cycle 2 started, I began to mock the new girls because they were no prettier than cycle 1 ones. But then when I was exposed more to the series, I got my faves. And once again, the top of my list is filled by the girl from Japan.

Her name is Marie Nakagawa

Sofia's successor. With the exact same rank: third runner up. Damn she should've been the winner because she won best photos more than anyone else.

She's shorter than Sofia -well, Sofia's too tall for anybody else. But one thing I like from her is, that she's black, and Japanese at the same time. That's just so unique! She looks exquisite with the skin it super matches her red-dyed hair. And when she was given the makeover, with that afro-kind-of hair, damn she's Whitney Houston!

And I also like her attitude. Looking not too much like a girl from Japan, but her gesture is sooooo Japanese. Super polite, bow before everybody, just what I always expected from Japanese women.

I think it's because I'm in too much love with Japanese. That every single girl, with a whole different mixture of descents and culture, always succeeded making me adore them.

Or is it,
Simply because,
Japan women are all
Blossoming flowers

One Beautiful Lady Stand Before Us

No comments:

This blog, I must say, people might get bored reading it. Because umm, on the last six posts, it's all about my trip to Malaysia and Thailand, and the last one is about that Japanese model I'm currently adoring.

But it won't stop there.
I'm continuing my fascinated thoughts about fascinating woman from the industry.

This time, a local touch again.

The original image is from here, I just edited it a little bit to fit my blog ;)

You know her. International standardized celebrity with highly, highly national oriented values. And lately, she's all well known for her appearance as the host and the main judge of Asia's Next Top Model.

And it's so proud making.
Like she ruled the game. Other judges that are from other nations obey her. And all the contestants who come from countries in reality, are better and more developed than Indonesia, bow before her.

So proud making.
Like even when the contestant from Indonesia got eliminated, I didn't really care because no matter how, Nadya will always be there until the end of the show. Until comes another cycle.

Proud making.
Like on top of all, on the finale, she wore kebaya for the final judging. In front of multinational people. In front of Tyra Banks.

Proud.

Yes I'm proud of Indonesia.
And I love Indonesia. As well as I
Love, Nadya

Sakura From The Blue

6 comments:

Ever since one of my friends showed me some mixed-descent-Asian-European girl friends he has, I started to have a thing about those kind of girls. And currently, there is this girl I've been dying to tell you about.

Since last month -or more maybe, I can't recall- I had always been waiting for her appearance every week. Now that she's out of the show, and I would probably not see her again, it's time for her tribute in my way.

Her name is Sofia Wakabayashi

The third runner up of Asia's Next Top Model Cycle One. Or was she just considered as one of the contestants? I don't know. For me she's fine, whatever the judges thought about her that she had to go home before the finale.

She's pretty, she's tall, she's model-like. Boys will fight for her and girls will fight to be like her. But no, let's not talk about her figure.

I'm adoring the mixture her mom and dad gave her when she was born. There is something different beneath her semi-oriental face. Okay it's not just her, it comes from all mixed girls like her.

Oh, I haven't mentioned which part of Asia she obtained her face from, have I? Well you gotta be knowing it from her name but, let's say that you don't know.

It's Japan.
And I'm currently into Japanese.

You know what,
She could really be the reason,
Or maybe my major motivation of
How much I love Japan

Wipe The Duel, Up Out My Face

No comments:

American Idol's back. Now is season 12. With brand new faces of Keith Urban, Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj. I never thought God loved me that much, He put not only one, but two of my favorite ladies as the new judges!

But then... You guys probably know what went wrong. Yeah, the catfight. Between the all-time diva, and the mesmerizing rapper. Damn. Ego bummed.

As Mariah shined bright way earlier than Nicki, people kept blaming Roman for the riot. They say that Mariah is just too soft, too classy to start the fight, and Nicki, seeing her 'fun' attitude in most of her performances, is rebel enough to be the provoker.

That could be right. And I could possibly buy it.
If I never know that Mariah's diva-ness is not annoying.

Carey's a princess. Glamour. Expensive. She's sometimes arrogant. She requires weird, complicated riders -20 white kittens and 100 doves could explain it all- and she even has the list of those bizarre stuff. Visually gentle and fragile, but skillfully shattering from the inside, if I can summarize.

And Nicki? She might not as wild as you thought about. On some battle against Mariah, she was the one who walked out. She actually looks up to her. She even considers to sign out being the judge for the live show because apparently, she's just looking for fun times from the audition. Although I guess her main reason to quit Idol is because she wants to avoid more feud against Mariah.

Please, women, I adore you both.
Let's get things back like 2010 when
You ladies were on the same scene, singing.

Seeing both of you calling each other's name
Giggling, dancing, supporting like that, it's relieving.

Then again I remember the fight between you two...

Well after all, I study communication.
I more or less know how basically most media works.
This conflict could possibly be set up. For the sake of the Idol's rating.

But if it's real...

Please, women, I adore you both.
I can't decide which side to be

Spot The Difference

No comments:

On the previous post, when I was about to describe how Chaka Khan performed the night I attended The Hitman concert, I said that I was gonna talk about it next. And I guess now it is.

So yea I happened to see her -and even heard her name- for the first time there, by the concert. Never before, never ever. She looked so energetic, fired up and all psyched. Speaking of appearance, she's sort of small, height-wise. But she's brave, you know like, "all out" if you know what I mean.

Here, here, take a deeper look at her.

http://www.kalamu.com/bol/2007/09/02/chaka-khan-%E2%80%9Csign-%E2%80%98o%E2%80%99-the-times%E2%80%9D/

What do you think, huh? Similar to someone?
Yea. Yea, I guess so; similar. To her.

It's hers. I got this from her own twitter

Speak no more! They might be mother and daughter, I thought. The first time Chaka came to the stage, I couldn't help but calming myself and tried to stop me from matching her with Nicki Minaj!

And their performance, Lord, so identical! So passionate, so powerful, danceful, loud and, don't forget, seductive. You can even see some curves here, there and everywhere, if you know what I mean.

About voices, well Chaka's was unbelievable. My friend even joked that she could create high pitched voice with no effort seemed. Nicki's not as marvelous as hers, but I like her raps. I like her, as a matter of fact. Although my girlfriends think that she's slutty and disgusting, I don't know, I still find her attractive. In a humor way, anyway.

Overall they're so, so each other. The appearance, the outfit, the gesture, the extra show, if you know what I mean, are kinda twin-like.

Chaka's portrait's from here, Nicki's from here

But yea telling this won't make you just agree with me straight away.
You got to see how each of them perform on stage.
Then you'll know what I mean

Call Me Dreamer, Maybe?

2 comments:

When tuning radio lately, I've always stopped to some certain songs. Well it's not just the beat, or the lyric that I'm staying there to listen to. It's the imagination of the singers, instead.

So you guys probably--well, 'must' actually...
Okay, okay, let's just start over...

So you guys must know Carly Rae Jepsen.

http://www.billboard.com/bbma/news/carly-rae-jepsen-perform-billboard-music-awards

Yes, the 2nd runner up of Canadian Idol which single crashed most of major music charts all over the globe? The cute girl who turns out adoring a gay boy? Haha yes, her!

I only know her through two songs. First one is hers, and the second one is featuring Owl City. But then, I don't know, I just like her. Her voice is uncommon, her face looks uniquely cute, overall she doesn't look like most cocky girls I've ever seen on TV.

Also, she's looking fun. And attractive. And flexible. A kind of girl who will invite me for shots and dance wildly down the street. And do dumb stuff. And be kicked out of the bars. Haha too much imagination Vick, too much.

Well uh, I hope she's not just a one-hit-wonder.

But if she is, well I'm not gonna be worried because I have some other girl that I'm recently adoring. And she's nearby! I mean, she's from this country. So take a bow, to Raisa!

http://salingsilang.com/baca/tagar-happybirthdayraisa-untuk-sang-idola

Well I'm not that fanatic anyway. I just, well you know, like her as a guy normally likes a girl. I once saw her singing in a mall but yea, I just stopped to check who was singing, smiled a bit after found out it was her and then walked away.

I happen to like her voice. It just suits her appearance. Looking elegant and not corny in all way. A kind of girl I'd like to invite to have a cute drink and perform a socialite dance. My classy girl, indeed.

Source of Carly's picture is here, while Raisa's is here.

Damn I'm wondering too much.

But if it could be real, well,
I'll be owing God so much.
But now the question is,
Could it be?

Mothers I Like, Fervently

6 comments:

I don't know where to start.
I don't even remember if I had ever shared this.

So here's the thing. I'm just twenty but it doesn't prohibit me to put an interest on somebody older than me. Umm yes, I'm in love with a lady. No, I'm in love with ladies. These ladies.

Blame mom! She forced me to download all series of the Desperate Housewives that I can't stop myself to watch each episode she's done watching before I planned to delete them. Now that I like them so much, I'm still keeping the files...

Anyway, you met the main housewives. Bree Van de Kamp, Lynette Scavo, Susan Mayer and Gabrielle Solis. I like 'em all, I love the bond between 'em.

One thing, there's this wive I idolize the most. One of minor wives, Edie Britt. She's not nice, she's somehow slutty. But she's funny. Random and wild, more like a clown of the pack if she's accepted among other wives. And she's actually caring, well as far as I follow the show. Overall, her appearance is one of my longing.

But keep this in all your minds.
I'm just happened to adore them.
Just an adoration, for crying out loud.
Nothing more, nothing less ;)

Lady Gaga. Siapa yang gak kenal dia sekarang? Mbak-mbak, orang-orang daerah, sampe kakek gue yang religius parah sekalipun itu sekarang jadi tau si nyentrik Gaga karena konsernya yang batal di Indonesia.

http://www.fanpop.com/spots/lady-gaga/images/10274161/title/lady-gaga-wallpaper

Gara-gara FPI? Gara-gara santriwan santriwati -yang bahkan gue yakin mereka nggak tau Lady Gaga sebelum dia mau konser disini- pada demo? Gara-gara bertentangan sama kebudayaan lokal?

Ya mungkin, dan gue benci mereka semua.
Tapi kayaknya gue tau siapa dalang sebenernya.

But umm, no, I ain't gonna spill it here. Kalo gue asal jeblak ntar bisa dikira ngejelekin nama baik orang ya gak sih? Ah okay, okay, I'll give you a liiiiittle clue.

Lady Gaga. June 3 2012. Big Daddy. Brand new promoter.
NKOTBSB. June 1 2012. Berlian Entertainment. Belongs to--

Oops, okay I've told you too much.

Tapi kalo dipikir-pikir, alesan sama motifnya sih masuk akal. Banget.

Hello, men of politics.
I knew what you did there.

Local Taste Never Lie

4 comments:

So there is this girl.
This famous, famous girl.
Well no longer a girl, actually.
She turned to be a fair, dainty lady.

She's a star of L'Oreal ads here in Indonesia. Back then, when her line was "No More Bad Hair Day", I was mesmerized, indeed, but I have no plan at all to get her worshiped.

Now she came with her new ad, still with L'Oreal.
Several years after the old ad but still, gorgeous.

Damn.

Burgundy themed ambient.
Flawless model-like gesture.
Long, wavy, fluttering hair.
Lips like licorice.
Fancy dress.

Five chicness, one whole package.
I'm into you, Dian Sastrowardoyo

Some Other Breathtaking Girls

4 comments:
http://minishares.org/news_cat/90210-season-3/page/2

It all started when I accidentally watched 90210 on Star World.
Then I realized a thing: most of the girls on this series are gorgeous.
Either young ones or even old ones, they're all pretty.

But wait! among those, I have my two favorites:
Naomi Clark of AnnaLynne McCord and Adrianna Tate-Duncan of Jessica Lowndes.

naomi's pic is from here, while adrianna's from here

Naomi, for me, is a semi-antagonist one of the serial. She's rich, spoiled and intriguing, but sometimes she has good manner. Even better than the protagonists.

While Adrianna, the drug user, is Naomi's 'wingman' who's always by her side in school. On other serial, this kind of partner usually has the same evil deed, and tend to help the antagonists do their evil plan. But Adrianna and Naomi are not that kind of girls.

Actually I don't really know who the main role of the serial is. Everybody seems to have their own conflicts and appear as much as the others.

But hey, who cares.
As long as these two appear often.
I'll be glad watching this
Mellow girly teenage drama

If I Had A Chance to be Born Five Times...

8 comments:

Woooo akhirnya ngepost lagi. UAS udah (anggep aja) lewat, libur 3 bulan menanti, dan saatnya membanjiri blog ini dengan ocehan-ocehan gue lagi! Can we make this fast? I mean, this opening thing? I'm not really good at it.

Oke! Jadi buat pemanasan setelah sekian lama gak ngeblog, gue cuma mau nyampah soal... Penyanyi. Hell yeah, these are male singers. Gak, bukan fisiknya lah gela lo! Gue mau memuji betapa bagusnya suara mereka, dan betapa irinya gue dengan mereka karena suara emas mereka itu.

So if i'm given a chance by God to be born again, I want my voice to be like these dudes.

Pitbull
Gangerti lagi kenapa dia suaranya bisa sengaco itu. Serek-serek gimana gitu kan ah bangke gue mau banget punya suara begitu. Dan kalo dia ngerap ugh, indescribable. And uh, can I make a little confession? I'm actually working on how he sings so fast. Di "On The Floor" nya J.Lo, sambil dengerin dia ngoceh sambil baca liriknya, gue juga ikutan loh ahaha! Pokoknya, elu, Mr Pitbull, for me, you have no foes in this. Dan gue punya satu quote buat suara doi.
"Well i am no woman. But that is one tasty dish."
-- Chandler Bing (F.R.I.E.N.D.S)

Jay Sean
Kalo tadi Hip Hop nya, yang ini Pop nya. Mungkin orang gak terlalu aware ya sama suara doi, tapi sebenernya unik loh. Liukan-liukannya cihuy cuy.

Danny O'Donoghue
Ada yang tau dia siapa? Vokalis The Script ah elah lama lu mikirnya. Agak biasa ya? Hmm iya sih tapi nggak ah! Gue doyan banget The Script, yaaah walopun cuma beberapa lagu doang. Dan gue punya firasat gak lama lagi mereka bakal ke Jakarta uuuulala gue bakal jadi yang terdepan deh Insya Allah.

Gary LeVox
Abis dari Indie Rock, loncat ke Country. Ever know who he is? Okay, he's the lead vocal of Rascal Flatts. Do you even know Rascal Flatts? Okay, one of their song was used for the soundtrack of Disney Cars. You don't know what Cars is?? Well, may you burn in hell haha canda tau! Susah sih ngomongin dia soalnya emang gak terlalu tenar disini. Tapi serius deh suaranya bikin bisa nangis. Gadeng lebay.

Michael Buble

And you know what? I'm running out of ideas.
Let's finish this warming-up post and please be ready because
I'm back on this blog again!

Take a Deep Breath, Me. They're Far Away...

8 comments:

Glee. No doubt, everyone knows this. The phenomenal musical tv series that won not only many awards, but also many people's heart. Well, including mine.

Yeah good concept indeed, but that's not what I'm interested most. So? Okay, it's Quinn Fabray. Gorgeously portrayed by Diana Agron.

Oh God, what can I say? She's oh so tempting. Her eyes, her gaze, her smile... Argh! Help I'm melting! She's just way better than Rachel Berry. If only she plays the protagonist role... Damn, she's just the most precious masterpiece ever existed.

Well that's what I thought until today, when I switched my TV to Star World and guess what? American Idol's airing, horay! Okay, and yes! When I see this lady, it seemed like I couldn't take my eyes off of her. You can guess, say hello to J.Lo!

I knew her since... years ago. But I never noticed that she's this adorable. I don't know her age and I don't feel like knowing it, for sure. And by her appearance here in American Idol, I think I'll try not to miss even a single episode.

Phew, I'm sinkin' into the lava.
Thanks to you guys,
I got something to post.

Sparkling Hollywood Things

No comments:

Have you ever felt such an amazement when you look at something adoring and you can't take your eyes off even just a second? Quiet complicated question, eh? But have you? Have you? Have you??

Don't ask me back. I have--no, I'm feeling that. Especially when I see them.

Kristen Bell

Kate Hudson

Jennifer Aniston

Gosh, they're just so pretty that I keep exhaling once I catch their face. How come they're so damn gorgeous?

Thank God
For creating them!
