Trust in Three

No comments:

Time went by too fast, don't you think?

After yesterday I decided to call England for this World Cup, last night they played. Against Italy. And lost. Time did go fast. But that doesn't mean that I'm doubting my choice. Instead, after last night I got pretty sure that I'm supporting the right one.

You know that I recently lost contact in any updates about soccer world, yes? And that's why I didn't know many things about who's called and who's not, to play in Brazil. So I just happened to know the squad of England, yesterday.

And I just realized that their main fortress, is

I knew how well he's been performing with Manchester City. To be honest I can't even mention who else in England is good in goal keeping. I wanna say Chelsea's Petr Cech, but then he's not British. Seeing Hart's name on the list, it seriously gave me tons of relief before the game started.

And then there were Steven Gerrard, Wayne Rooney, old names ya I believed they'd do their best. But when there's these three names appeared, names I knew well and heard often from the Premier League, but I was pretty sure that they never played for World Cup, I swear it boosted my confident.

The Queen's three knights, I'd consider them as The Real Three Lions.
Raheem Sterling, Danny Welbeck and Daniel Sturridge

O yeah, I'm sure they'll give the best show. England as a whole, with the help of these three stallions. And for last night's game, they seriously performed way better than my expectation towards England. My brother and I agreed that they played like they're possessed with some weird yet powerful phantom.

Although they eventually lost the game. But I don't care, there are two games left to go. Balotelli's goal wasn't impressive enough anyway. And many people even claimed that Italy played dirty but hey, I don't want to find any excuses. Lost is lost but that doesn't necessarily mean that England's as lousy as they usually are.

Spain lost their first game in South Africa.
And they came out to be the world's champion.
Too early to lose hope, England

As-Salamu Alaykum, Liverpool

No comments:

The new season of English Premier League have been rolled for four weeks already. But umm, yea well Liverpool, again and again, haven't found their pattern yet. Alright alright, I ain't gon' talk about that. I'm not that capable to discuss strategies and techniques.

So here and now, I'm about to share about how more excited I am about Liverpool lately. Most of which is caused by the joining of these two players.

I got the picture of Assaidi from here, and Sahin from here

Other moslem football players, and they're joined to my fave team!! Oussama Assaidi was bought from SC Heerenveen by the new manager Brendan Rodgers. The 24 year old Moroccan guy is given number 11.

While Turkish player Nuri Şahin is loaned by Real Madrid for umm, a year if I'm not mistaken? Yea just a loan. Unfortunately a friend of mine -a girl, shockingly, whose knowledge about football is a hundred times wider than me- informed me that the contract with Madrid is somehow closed, means that Liverpool can't propose a purchase of Şahin after the loan ends.

Too bad for him. If I happen to be able to contact him, I will infect his mind to stay. "Mou's just not interested in you," I will tell him. "You just see, you were there for a year only. Finally been able to make friends quiet well with Oezil already, but he loaned you away..."

Yea well, skip it. At least now for this whole season I'll cheer louder for Liverpool. About next year Şahin be back to Madrid? We still have Assaidi, people of Allah Almighty!

Hey wait, I'm not yet finished. I got another reason for loving Liverpool more and more. You know what, one of the club's sponsors is Garuda Indonesia Airlines!

So. Damn. Cool. Seeing one of our proud brands digitally hang around Anfield Stadium... That's just priceless. All hail and long live, moslem and Indonesia!!

Now the burdens are all on you, Reds.
Just, don't make me love you because of those reasons above.
Win the game, that's the best deal

Reported to You, From Manchester

10 comments:

Just now, as you all probably knew, was the last matchday of the English Premier League. The top two Manchesters were head to each other's head to be the toppest. They earned the same point of 86, same winnings of 27, same draws and loses of each 5. Only the number of goals made City stayed on the first place.

And so the battle began,

Manchester United vs. Manchester City
Stadium of Light - Etihad Stadium
Sunday, May 13th 2012

You felt that too, eh? Although United was against Sunderland and City was feasting QPR, it felt like those two were the one battling. People turned hectic. I observed my twitter timeline and saw many people were like switching channels to see each match's progress.

Things started to heat up on the first half when both United and City scored one. But the best happened on the second half, in Etihad.

When QPR made it 1-1 by Cisse and Mackie, several minutes later turned things over by making it 1-2. It was so depressing for Mancini, I supposed. The commentator even said, "It's yours, United! It's yours!!" when Mackie scored. And the desperation lasted until the injury time, until United finished their game.

However, quote "Save the best for the last" truly happened.

Like a soap opera plot, City fired up after being bullied. Dzeko scored a goal by the last three minutes of the injury time, and ignited a tiny little hope for the fans. They needed less than two minutes to make one more goal, just one.

It was like a sudden death match -well, not a match actually, a sudden death minute will be suitable- for City. They scored one and they won it, they didn't score then um, they didn't win it.

And yes, miracle happened. Aguero was the one who scored the league-winning goal, ruining the temporary euphoria United just had for only two minutes.

So yea, Manchester City is the winner of EPL 2011/2012

Phew what an ending. I'm not a fan of either one, but that was a hell lot of a match. So breathtaking that I wanted to post it here. And yet, I overread on my timeline, a tweet that said,

"We are witnessing a history"

It had me thinking. He was right. This kind of drama, it's just too precious just to be told. And remembered. And talked about. It has to be recorded.

So um, you can call me 'karbitan' yea whatever
But I was one of witnesses of this epic drama
And since it's a big part of EPL's history, so
Just let me write

P.S. : Bestest ovation for the keeper of QPR and QPR themselves, because they can fought the almighty City even just with 10 people. And congrats for not being kicked out from the EPL ;)
