Kingsman: The Secret Service

No comments:

After Lancelot's death by parties unknown to the Kingsmen, Arthur assembled his agents to find candidates for a replacement. Galahad, while in search of who's responsible for Lancelot's death, came with Eggsy, a bright distracted young man with potential, as his choice for the vacant position. As the journey to find the best successor takes place, Lancelot's true killer Richmond Valentine is scheming a destructive mind-blowing plan for mankind.

What did I feel right after? Well, before I start, I'd like to make a slightly little change. Usually, the review section of a movie I just watched will be written in Indonesian. Starting from this post, it'll be all in English so please, be fancy.

OKAY.

What did I feel right after? Mixed. It was entertaining, yet also gore. I hated how human bodies are easily chopped off in this cheerful world of Kingsman. But then again, it's brought with a happy approach so I was amused anyway. Three brief highlights; Samuel L. Jackson. I've always liked him because to me, he's always been a good man in a movie. Now that in this one he's the asshole, I hate him. Hats off to the man tho, because he can turn a fan to a hater. Then Colin Firth. I'm in love with him. Since Nanny McPhee. Yea, because of his British accent. And here in this movie, with all the suit and umbrella, damn, marry me! Last and the best, Sofia Boutella. From the first second of her scene, I, fell, in an instant love, with her. She's so fvcking gorgeous! And flexible, if you know what I mean. She's like the version of Rachel Berry I'd love to adore, rather than slap. Think I have a new idol.

After all, the whole story was great. It was not a typical action movie with typical villain motives. Trust me, Valentine's plan for the world, it's smart, it's out of the box, and I'm 100% sure that there's a little voice deep in your heart saying that you actually agree with him, and hope that his plan could someday be realized in our world :)

I'm kidding.
But not.

Cha-Ching!

No comments:

So.

Remember two months ago--three, sorry. Remember three months ago, I was still working at the office, and I kinda abandoned this blog even though I have these three big things that I usually would've posted it one second after it happened if I have time? Well that's a long and complicated question okay I'll make it quick. Remember this?

Yea on that post I promised I'd tell you things about The Hunger Games, Citra Pariwara 2014 and something about Neverland. Well I did make a post about Hunger Games. While the Citra Pariwara, I believe it's too late so let's just let it go and live only in my memory.

Now about the Neverland thing...

You know how much I love Peter Pan's world. The idea of staying young forever, impeccable. Years after years, I've always wanted name Neverland to be associated with me because secretly, deep inside me I still have this childhood dream to be able to find Neverland.

And so I changed the name of my blog. From famous rifkyramadhan.blogspot.com, to the start-all-over again turntoneverland.blogspot.com. I lost most of my blogpal, I lost track of everybody who pays a regular visit to my personal diary. But it came worthwhile as my current blog is still pretty noted.

Then I feel like it's not enough. Blog can't completely represent, me. I felt like I gotta make a bigger thing so people will directly think about me once they hear name 'Neverland'.

That's when my business started.

Neverland
Itinerary Organizer

Well, you might find it uncommon I mean, what the hell is Itinerary Organizer you obviously just made it up Vick! Frankly, yea, I just made it up. And it seems to be logical tho, organizing itineraries for people who wants to travel, and, get paid.

It was launched on November last year. I was extremely packed that I never thought I'd skip telling you, blog, about this new business. But that's okay, by that time it was still on trial. And was still in the form of a blog. I brought it up today, because I'm taking my business to the whole new, much more serious and professional level, as I made the website to

Nothing to lose. That's my principal for the business. I mean, I didn't spend money on this, only my time that is sacrificed. And creating itineraries is one of my hobbies tho, so, if this works - and I'm pretty sure it will - I'll win big time.

Then I can get to buy toys,
Candies, rides, junk foods, soda,
And the most important thing will be
My childhood dream

Witnessing a History

No comments:

Just this morning.

I saw something dramatic, something intense.
Something people won't forget for a plenty of time.

Because it was mind-blowing.
And I'm not just saying that.

Well,

First, the scoring was bicycle-pants tight
Liverpool first, then Spurs, then Liverpool again and so on.

Liverpool's first goal by Lazar. Pic's from here.
Spurs' first goal by Harry Kane. Pic's from here.

Secondly, Gerrard equaled legend Robbie Fowler.
For 183 Liverpool goals, now both sharing crown at 5th place.

That's our Captain Gerrard. Pic's from here.

But things got a lil rough, a lil more intense
As Spurs leveled and almost ended the game draw, in Anfield, again.

It's Mousa Dembele, who almost ruined my whole day. Pic's from here.

And all of the sudden, Super Mario rocked our world
Scoring his first goal ever for the Premiere League, and saving Liverpool's ass

Definitely wasn't the MOTM tho, but still, he was sick. Pics are from here and here.

But the highlight of the victory was,
Seeing these boys hugging

Pics are from here, here, here and here.

And realizing how that scene made my heart melt.
I know I love them now

In Summary

No comments:

Ever since I made a book of my own,
I never stop scheming for more projects.

Like, if I travel here, what can I write to sell to publishers or editors? Ya lately it's always been like, let's sit down and think about the value I can obtain from each places, then go. If nothing's precious, find somewhere else! Starting from months ago I always made myself sure to always bring some stories back home from a trip. And to be honest, I even have like six to seven rough titles for my next books.

Including Bali.

It's been like forever since I want to release a guide book about Bali. Because, well, I fond for the place. It's not that I've been to every place in Bali, but I'm halfway there tho. Spent most of my time in the south, went once to the east, even crossed to Gilis, I'm sure I'm halfway there.

And just a month ago, I extended my vocabulary of Bali.
To the place I never thought I could make it through.

Menjangan.

Sky wasn't that good tho, but still, it was sick

Shit. Sorry to pick that word, but seriously, shit. I never expected to go there. An island far far away from Bali's touristy place where everybody travel to. The place that is so empty, you won't even think that it's in the so-called tourist-hectic Bali that you've always known!

But I did, somehow. And it was sickly amazing.

The closest settlement to the island is Pemuteran. And from this little town, the underwater wonder is beyond compare already. I snorkeled like, three times? Well I forgot but exploring lives below water surface in here, that's just the thing I'd proudly brag to my kids in the future.

Pemuteran and things I found down under

And now the Menjangan itself.

Frankly, I'm speechless. It's past midnight now as I'm typing this post, but that's not the reason why I'm losing words. It's because Menjangan's just worth the silence. Words can't exactly tell what I experienced, even photos can't do. You have to actually be there, to feel the grandeur of our authentic maritime life. And choke yourself to panicky as you start mumbling in amazement, saying good things about your God, and the frikking salt sea water suddenly flow into your snorkeling tube--yea it happened to me.

I won't say much about what it's like under there. I went to Amed, I went to Gilis, I went to Philippines, and Menjangan was better that all three of those combined.

The best I could get from Menjangan ocean floor

I said it already to all my other social media assets. That Menjangan has officially been the highlight of all my Bali trips. I mean, if I meet some other traveler who asks me about Bali, that sacred name will always be the first thing coming out of my humble mouth.

Because it's that great. It deserves the exposure, the spotlight and I'm not exaggerating. Menjangan summed up everything about Bali.

I'm not finished.
With Bali, I'm not finished.
The Nusas will be my next stops.
But whatever happens there, really,

Menjangan will always be my thunder

90s Strikes Back

No comments:

It's been almost two weeks since I returned from Hong Kong.

I know, I owe you stories but I've been pretty busy with my other project--that's why I kinda abandon this blog. But I have something I really can't stand keeping anymore. It's about the group I met during my trip. These cool people whom I had this hiking adventure with, down to cliff and through the woods, in an island called Tap Mun.

Well I don't know where else to run but here so I'm gonna spill it here anyway. It's seriously kinda weird and might be WTF for those people so, I hope they never find out about this post. And hey guys if you happen to bump into this post, please, before you go on, leave at once!

So there were the eight of us. Five boys, three girls. With the jungle-ish setting and wild fantasies of ours, everybody started talking about scenarios we could possibly play, from "Lost", "The Walking Dead" to "Hunger Games". As a 90s kid, I, on the other hand, drove my mind straight to Digimon Adventure.

I completely forgot where I got this pic but the thing is, it's not mine.

You know, one of my favorite anime during my childhood. Well, it's not just "one of my favorite", it's what made me I am today. The whole cartoon is still so relevant to me I mean, if you want to open a dumb discussion about Digimon, I really can do it like right now.

So yea back to my team. Eight of us were on our way from the cliff back to the harbor, racing with time because we have to catch the boat. We were like taking a detour in the middle of the woods, directed by this French guy named Fred. Okay he's one hell of an adventurer so we counted on him to lead us back using shorter route. He then subconsciously became our leader, and lineup of who was who suddenly appeared in my mind.

Tai - Fred
The leader. The one who's so eager about adventures. The one that will most likely be the last person alive in a zombie apocalypse. Or in our case, in digital world. Fred and Tai are just so alike. He leads our way out of the jungle by using his own map, and that's what Tai did for their whole adventure.

Matt - Calvin
One of our leaders. He could stand up to take the role of the head of the pack, if it's not about surviving in the wild. He plays music, and so does Matt. And by that time, he was hosting me it made him frequently look after me. A familiar scene in which Matt protects his younger brother T.K., yes?

Sora - Sherry
Sora is the girl of adventure. That's what I saw on Sherry. And both are the eldest girls of their group. At first, those reasons are not pretty strong to me. But when I realized that Sherry and Sora have the same hair style, nobody can change my perception anymore.

Izzi - Kit
The only pure local, made Kit be the one with the most knowledge about the Hong Kong (compared to others). Sounds so Izzi? Not until I found out that his CS profile was the richest of us all. Which roughly made me assume that he's so active in cyber world as well. Sounds so Izzi.

Mimi - Zoe
Mimi was, damn cheerful. She was a happy-all-the-time type of girl, and that's what I thought about when I see Zoe. But what's more coincidental was, Mimi was a year younger than Sora, and two years older than Kari. By that time Zoe was 25, Sherry was 26 and Emily was 23. How's that?

Joe - Ray
If you're a fan of Digimon Adventure, you must remember who was the only one who brought food to the digital world, yes? Joe. And guess who brought most food for our hiking trip? Ray. Aside of that major serendipity, Ray was also calm, wise, more action than talking which all resemble Joe's personalities.

Kari - Emily
Emily was the youngest of all the girls and she's my age, so that's the first reason. But I'm not finished. She was also the last one to join the group before we head to Tap Mun, making her so much alike to Kari which was the last digi-destined. Don't you like all these "OMG IT MATCHES!" things??

T.K. - Vicky
Well I was the youngest one of all. So was T.K. And Matt is T.K.'s brother, which on the time being, Calvin was my temporary brother because I stayed at his place and I was basically counting everything on him. More (stupid) reason? Well, I wore a beanie, and T.K. did that all the time.

But on top of all, did you remember the true ending of Digimon Adventure? Yea, that apparently T.K. writes every single thing about their adventures, on his book. He's an author. And would you care to guess what I am right now? :)

This shit has just got real.

I know this weird obsession is, weird. But I can't help it!!! I'm all about Digimon and those too-real-to-be-true things are, TOO REAL TO BE TRUE!

You know what, rumor has it that this year there'll be a continuation of Digimon, highlighting the original eight characters. Well, after more than a decade, I finally get to see them again. And let's see if this coincidence still relates to the cartoon. I can't tell.

What I can tell is,
I don't want to wait for a decade
To meet these people again.

Oh no,

I'm not talking about the cartoon characters.
It's about those crazy silly Hong Kongers which,
I'm so gonna meet again someday, somewhere.

Because we're destined

Nice Move, Lads

No comments:

I've been soaked deeper into the squad of Liverpool lately for the past five months.

From their darker days, oh Lord those depressing time where I was really kinda fed up of how they lost too often. Or ended up draw, against small clubs. And there was this meme of naked Brendan Rodgers, posing in a doggy style saying "Hey Champions League, I'm ready and waiting" and oh of course, not to mention the wastage of Champions League...

Damn got to say, it was, that, mentally exhausting. I'm not like the biggest fan tho, but still, who would've enjoyed their favorite team lost??

Then things got a bit better approaching the end of 2014. Slowly but sure the team minimized the number of loss, Simon Mignolet proved himself worth the position after Brad Jones kicked his ass for like, three weeks? I forgot -maybe during that phase Mignolet was having major breakdown that's why he's got good comebacks lately. Glen Johnson has smoothly been replaced by Kolo Toure and Mamadou Sakho, well to sum it up, Liverpool's waking up!

Until 2015 came, and turned out to be harvesting time for us fans.

They're back.

Pic's from here.

They've been fired up lately. Really. It's like, they're paying us back what we (emotionally) lost in the last semester. Sterling, Marcovic and our new rising star Coutinho, shit, they're like possessed. I can't be more excited for these youngsters, really. Including Emre Can. Who would've thought that the below 23s are the ones who control the team now!?

But what made me happiest is how the clumsy Simon Mignolet had increased. Second Leg of Capital One match against Chelsea was the time when I realized how cool this Belgian guy had become. And he's been pretty good since ever. Oh and yea, that match against Chelsea. We lost tho, but the game proved me much that the whole squad is now skilling up right.

The toppest conflict tho, happened on the last two games. Where the squad showed how high their quality has become in the last three months. And Sturridge is back on business. Made a goal just ten minutes after he's called on pitch against West Ham. We've been waiting for him like, forever, and we knew we've been longing him for a reason.

And last night's game, fvck, could it be any more intense!? I was actually prepared to be satisfied for losing -since that penalty goal was so unfair, unnecessary and unfortunate, but Sterling and Can's beautiful combo plus Coutinho's handsome goal entering the injury time, do you guys want me to kiss you?

Wow.

I constantly wet my underpants watching them play.
And look how smart-ass-pro-like this post has become.
I never talked this football-scientific about Liverpool before.

But then, this whole journey from "Oh my God Liverpool, please, I'm tired of waking up in the middle of the night, just to see you guys got gangbanged!" to "Shit, this euphoria, we better keep it down before karma flipped the situation again" just made me-

-love the squad even more.

It's true that when you're there during their lost,
Even draw games satisfy you that much already.
And if in the end what you see is their victory,

It's like, orgasm
